Supply

We can supply anything from a complete waterbed to a bottle of conditioner and every accessory in-between, including heaters, vinyl cleaners and air removers. We are happy to discuss a possible ‘try before you buy’ option if you are new to waterbeds and we will endeavour to accommodate your individual requirements. All new beds are supplied with a 5 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Install

All of our beds are installed by our experienced staff. They will answer any questions you may have if you are new to waterbeds, and will not leave your home until you are happy that all is well. You will be able to sleep in your bed as soon as it is installed – no waiting for the water to heat up!

Move or Moving Home

We can offer you a North East relocation service when moving home, moving bedrooms or simply re-decorating. Dismantling and moving your waterbed to a new place is professionally completed by our experienced staff.

Service

When you purchase your new bed, we will give advice about maintaining and servicing your bed yourself, including addition of conditioner, air removal and cleaning. However, if you prefer, we can come and add conditioner, remove unwanted air or clean your mattress at any time.

Repairing

Older mattresses and heaters, usually over ten years old, may occasionally need attention. Don’t panic!! Leaks are easily repaired and any leaked water is retained within the waterproof liner. We provide a complete repair and advisory service for any problems you may have.

After Sales

If you want any advice either before you buy or after you have bought your new waterbed, or if you have had a waterbed for years and just have a question, we are always available to give friendly advice and reassurance.

The Benefits

As well as the health benefits, the main reason for purchasing a waterbed must be its supreme comfort. Once you have slept on a waterbed, you will not want to go back to a ‘normal’ bed!

Even going on holiday does not seem as appealing when you know that you will have to sleep in a normal bed.

The bed is temperature controlled to your own comfort. You can adjust the temperature with the seasons, so you need never get into a cold bed again....unless you want to!

After a few years, any normal mattress needs to be changed as it becomes flattened or misshapen. That never happens with a waterbed. The support from a waterbed mattress remains the same throughout its life.

Also, the fabric cover on the waterbed mattress can be removed and laundered to remove dead skin flakes and sweat. You cannot do that with a normal mattress- all that debris stays there!!

Myth's and FAQS

  • Will my waterbed burst? No. Each mattress is manufactured from strong vinyl and tested before it leaves the manufacturer. If you do experience a leak, this is easily repaired (by us if you prefer), using a vinyl repair kit. As the water is not under pressure, the vinyl will not burst and any leaked water will stay in the bed and be retained within the waterproof liner.
  • Will I feel Seasick? No. It is highly unlikely that you will suffer from any sense of motion sickness as the baffles within the mattress prevent any wave motion effect.
  • Will I need to strengthen my ceiling? No. The weight of a waterbed is spread over a large area, the weight being about the average of six adults.
  • Will I hear the water sloshing about? When the bed is installed correctly, it is completely silent. Any noise is due to the presence of air, which can be readily removed.
  • Are waterbeds very expensive? Waterbeds come in a range of prices which are often cheaper than many ‘ordinary’ beds on the market. Give us a call...we think you will be very pleasantly surprised.
  • Are they expensive to run? No. The water is kept gently warm by a thermostatically controlled heater pad which uses no more power than a 30watt light bulb. Once the water has reached the desired temperature, it is dormant for much of the time.
